About Me

Experience

I have worked as a counsellor in a variety of settings such as the volunteer sector, a GP surgery, schools and colleges.  I have worked with young people and their families to help overcome a wide range of issues.  My aim is to empower people with the confidence and skills they need to lead happier, enriched lives.  I am a registered and accredited member of BACP and work within their ethical framework of good practice.

I have gained a wide range of exerience working as a volunteer in The Zone, Plymouth with issues such as self esteem, self injury, relationships, sexuality, anxiety, depression and suicidal thoughts.

I have worked for the past 8 years in schools and colleges in Plymouth and Bodmin offering counselling in a one-to-one setting with young people. I have also worked alongside families to help them gain an understanding of deeper issues such as working with anger, behavioural problems, attachment disorder and trauma.

I have experience of working with clients in a GP Practice who have diverse and challenging issues such as anxiety, depression, childhood trauma, bereavement and relationships problems.

I currently run a private practice based in Calstock.
